THE NEED

Food insecurity is an official term from the USDA. It's when people don't have enough to eat and don't know where their next meal will come from. It's a big problem in the United States, where 47 million people, including 13 million children, experience food insecurity annually.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

You can help combat food insecurity by volunteering your time at a local food bank or pantry, donating non-perishable food items or money, or advocating for stronger food assistance programs. Donating financially is often impactful because food banks/pantires can purchase in bulk at a lower cost. Simply checking in on vulnerable neighbors, church members, or elderly family members are other valuable ways to help.

DONATIONS

Consider a monetary donation. Financially supporting local pantries allows them to buy food in bulk, often stretching your dollar further to provide more meals. Click the DONATE button to get started.

This website was created in an attempt to consolidate resources. Our hearts have been touched by the needs of so many family members, friends and local community members who are struggling to make ends meet. We pray that this website will help make it a bit easier to navigate resources available in the KCKS and KCMO areas. Please feel free to contact us about additional resources that we can add to this website.
